I am Mónica Marcos, and from a very young age I have been devoted to health and the expansion of consciousness. I come from a family of doctors and, whether by heritage or by an inner calling, at the age of 17 I experienced a profound awakening that opened me to the path of the heart.

My professional journey began with studies of physiotherapy, followed by a Master’s degree in Osteopathy, which revealed to me a universe full of possibilities. Along the way, I realised that true health required not only working with the body, but also integrating the mind. This led me to study Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnosis, unifying body and mind in a more complete vision of the human being.

Later, I embarked on a journey through the Amazon, where I learned from wise healers the language of plants and their ability to restore balance to human life. That experience left a profound mark on me, opening the door to a deeper understanding of what I call the Great Mind: the universal intelligence that underlies and organises all life processes; a field of wisdom that the human body and mind are continuously part of. In more contemporary terms, what ancient traditions called the Great Mystery or Great Mind may be described as the underlying field of interconnectedness, what modern science approaches through systems theory, quantum physics, and the study of consciousness.
Throughout my path, I have trained both in scientific medical disciplines and in spiritual and shamanic practices. I have learned through clinical hypnosis, NLP, and neuroscience how the state of the mind can profoundly shape reality. From a scientific perspective, these approaches show how shifting patterns of thought and brain activity can create measurable changes in perception, behaviour, and even physiology (the body’s functions).
At the same time, in shamanic practices such as the temazcal (a traditional sweat lodge), I have witnessed how the altered states of consciousness, marked by slower brain waves, open the door to new perspectives of reality and deeper healing experiences.
For me personally, scientific medical disciplines and spiritual and shamanic practices are not in opposition but in dialogue. Science provides the framework to understand the mechanisms of transformation, while the spiritual traditions remind us of the mystery and sacredness of the process. The techniques I have learned along my path, whether rooted in neuroscience or ancestral wisdom, meet at the same point: the recognition that by changing our state of consciousness, we open the possibility for profound healing and renewal. This unique combination has allowed me to bridge two worlds, science and spirituality, and to discover ways of uniting the human being in all its dimensions.

My first steps into Biodynamic Osteopathy were with Dr. Christian Sullivan, whose teaching introduced me to a new way of perceiving health through the laws of nature. With him, I learned to see the body not only as a structure, but as a fluid body, like an ocean in constant motion. He introduced me to the concept of liquid light, understood as the cerebrospinal fluid, which nourishes and connects the whole system. This perspective allowed me to recognise how health expresses itself through subtle rhythms, tides, and flows that sustain the body’s inner balance. Currently I continue my training with Carlos E. Marques, who deepened my understanding and helped me embody this approach with greater clarity and coherence.
After more than 18 years accompanying people in their journeys of transformation and healing, I can say with certainty that Biodynamic Osteopathy is one of the most respectful, holistic, and complete ways of approaching a human being. Here are some examples of the profound effects this approach had on my patients:
Neurological Sciatica | A man in his forties came with severe sciatic pain (nerve pain that travels from the lower back down the leg). Normally, recovery from such a condition takes several weeks of treatment. Yet after just one biodynamic session, focused on the sacrum (the triangular bone at the base of the spine) and its connection with the cranial base (the bottom of the skull), his pain eased dramatically and his mobility returned. This case shows how quickly the body can reorganise itself when the right conditions for health are in place.
Chronic Constipation | A woman in her thirties had been struggling with chronic constipation for years, despite dietary changes and medical treatments. Through biodynamic sessions focusing on the deeper structures of her body (the pelvis, sacrum, and visceral system – the bones at the base of the spine and the organs in the abdominal area), her digestive rhythm gradually restored itself. She reported a return to regular bowel movements, as well as a greater sense of vitality and lightness.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) | A man in his mid-forties suffered from IBS, with alternating constipation, diarrhoea, and pronounced abdominal bloating. After several sessions, he noticed a steady decrease in symptoms. What surprised him most was the relief of underlying stress and anxiety, which he realised were closely linked to his digestive problems. As his nervous system calmed, so did his digestion.
Anxiety and Breath Restriction | A young woman in her twenties came with anxiety and the sensation of not being able to breathe fully. During the sessions, the work focused on the diaphragm (the main muscle of breathing) and the cranial respiratory rhythms (the subtle movements in the head linked to breath and relaxation). Gradually, her breathing expanded. She later shared that not only had her physical capacity improved, but her panic attacks had lessened and she felt calmer in daily life.
Inner Peace and Emotional Balance | Several patients have reported emotional benefits they had not anticipated after treatment. One woman shared that, after a few sessions, a deep sense of inner calm returned to her daily life. Long-standing anxiety eased, her sleep improved, and she felt more resilient in stressful situations. For her, the greatest gift was not only the absence of symptoms but the recovery of a state of peace she believed she had lost forever.
Infant with Breastfeeding Difficulties | A two-month-old baby was brought in with significant difficulties latching and feeding. The parents described growing frustration, weight loss, and sleepless nights. During the biodynamic session, gentle contact with the cranial base (the bottom of the skull) and the diaphragm (the main muscle of breathing) helped the baby’s system settle into stillness. Soon after, the baby began to suck more effectively. By the next day, feeding had normalised, bringing the whole family a deep sense of relief.
Post-COVID Recovery | A man in his fifties sought support for lingering breathing difficulties after a COVID-19 infection. He described fatigue and shallow breathing. Through biodynamic osteopathy, with a focus on restoring fluid movement and mobility in the chest (thorax), his lung capacity increased and his energy improved. After a series of sessions, he was able to return to moderate physical exercise without shortness of breath.
These are just some of the cases I have had the privilege to accompany, and over time I have come to realise how deeply the body reveals its wisdom when given the right conditions to heal. It has become the most coherent and profound path I have encountered, reminding me that the true role of the therapist is not to impose, but to accompany, listen, and allow the body’s natural wisdom to express itself fully. In this space where science meets spirituality, I have found a way to honour the complexity of life and to support others in reconnecting with their innate potential for health, balance, and wholeness.
This year, 2025, brought me something completely unexpected: the opportunity to meet Maarten and Monika. What began as a simple encounter gradually grew into a deep friendship, nurtured through shared experiences and meaningful conversations.
One day, while Maarten and Monika were coaching me on my personal project, a powerful question arose between us:
What does the world and humanity truly need right now in order to live in harmony, peace, and happiness?
In that moment, we realised that the answer goes far beyond healing the body and mind. What is needed is a way of approaching the human being from the macro to the micro, integrating healing with education, connection, and purpose. We saw how essential it is to help people create authentic bonds, reconnect with the rhythms of nature, and align themselves with a greater universal coherence.
In this trio, each of us brings a very different gift to this vision:
Monika, with her talent as an inspiring educator and transformer.
Maarten, with his wisdom as a business coach and visionary.
And myself, with my skills in guiding people on their journey of healing.
We asked ourselves:
What would happen if we brought these gifts together into a single project?
That question gave birth to Quantum Flow: a space where our unique strengths converge to create a transformative impact, offering the world something of immeasurable value: the possibility of living more balanced, connected, and in tune with the universal quantum rhythm of life.
